Background
A shorter version of "This World" features in the homemade family movie Spacetime Blues, written and produced by Hans Starlife. But his interest in Mars didn't start with the recent visions of SpaceX. It started with the Viking landers in the 1970's!
Hans dreamed about making Mars our second homeplanet. He talked with Carl Sagan, followed the Mars Underground movement, then The Planetary Society, and finally the Mars Society, speaking at their European Mars conventions.
But Hans didn't settle for dreaming. He sent his whole family to Mars! Their names, that is! Today, the Starlife name can be found on many landers on Mars, such as Spirit, Opportunity, Curiosity and Perseverance.
And who knows? Perhaps some day, a country girl will be spotted sitting on a Martian fence, singing the message of this music video...
